For a short assignment, we are looking for interviewers who speak Ukrainian and/or Russian.
Who are we?
Labyrinth Onderzoek & Advies is a research agency that primarily focuses on groups in society that are often overlooked. Our motto is: do not talk about them, but talk with them. And that’s exactly how we work. We conduct research in collaboration with the target audience. Whether it’s a study of living situations, participation in a community center, or a large-scale investigation into experiences of discrimination, we involve the target audience as much as possible in the process. This way, they get a voice.
The assignment
On behalf of the Research and Documentation Centre (WODC), a part of the Ministry of Justice and Security, we will conduct a large field research among Ukrainian refugees. We want to gain insight into their lives since their arrival in the Netherlands after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. For this purpose, a survey has been developed that we will administer to a large group of Ukrainian refugees. For the research, 6,000 Ukrainian refugees residing throughout the Netherlands will be invited.
Before administering the survey, we want to know from people who belong to the target audience whether the survey is appropriate and understandably. Are the questions formulated clearly? Do they understand the possible answers? Therefore, we will first test the survey with the target audience. Thanks to the feedback from test subjects, we can modify the survey to ensure that it is well understood by the target audience when the survey is conducted.

We are looking for critical interviewers who are willing to administer the survey to these test subjects.
Do you identify with the following points:
- Can you speak, write, and read Ukrainian? Or can you speak, write, and read Ukrainian and Russian?
- Can you speak and read English or Dutch?
- Are you someone with a social heart and a critical eye?
- Do you have experience with conducting interviews?
- Do you have experience working with the target audience?
- Are you digitally skilled and have experience with Excel?
- Are you available on September 18th, 19th, or 20th?

Initially, this is a short assignment. We will test the survey on Monday, September 18th, Tuesday, September 19th, and Wednesday, September 20th. You will receive a brief training for this. Later this year, there is a possibility that you could also work as an interviewer during the fieldwork.

Voor een korte opdracht zoeken wij interviewers die Oekraïens en/of Russisch spreken.
Wie zijn wij?
Labyrinth Onderzoek & Advies is een onderzoeksbureau dat zich voornamelijk richt op groepen in de samenleving die vaak over het hoofd worden gezien. Ons motto luidt: niet praten over hen, maar mét hen. En dat is precies hoe wij te werk gaan. We voeren onderzoeken uit in samenwerking met de doelgroep. Of het nu gaat om een onderzoek naar woonsituaties, participatie in een buurtcentrum of een grootschalig onderzoek naar ervaren discriminatie, we betrekken de doelgroep zo veel mogelijk bij het proces. Op die manier krijgen ze een stem.
De opdracht
In opdracht van het Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek- en Documentatiecentrum (WODC), onderdeel van het ministerie van Justitie en Veiligheid, gaan we veldonderzoek uitvoeren onder Oekraïense vluchtelingen. We willen inzicht krijgen in hoe hun leven eruitziet sinds hun aankomst in Nederland na de Russische inval in Oekraïne in februari 2022. Hiervoor is een vragenlijst ontwikkeld die we zullen afnemen bij een grote groep Oekraïense vluchtelingen. Voor het onderzoek worden 6.000 Oekraïense vluchtelingen woonachtig in heel Nederland uitgenodigd.
We zoeken kritische interviewers die de vragenlijst willen afnemen bij deze testpersonen.
Respondenten mogen de vragenlijst zelf online invullen. Als zij deze niet zelf invullen, dan komt er een interviewer bij de respondent langs om samen met de respondent de vragenlijst in te vullen. We zoeken mensen die het leuk vinden om deze interviews af te nemen.
Herken jij je in onderstaande punten:
- Kun je Oekraïens spreken, schrijven en lezen? Of kun je Oekraïens en Russisch spreken, schrijven en lezen?
- Kun je Engels of Nederland spreken en lezen?
- Ben je iemand met een sociaal hart en een kritische blik?
- Heb je ervaring met interviewen?
- Heb je ervaring met het werken met de doelgroep?
- Ben je digitaal vaardig en heb je ervaring met excel?
- Ben je beschikbaar op 18, 19 of 20 september?
